Do you offer free estimates?
Yes, our in-home estimates are always free.
How long do estimates take?
Estimates can take anywhere from 10 minutes to one hour depending on the size and condition of the job at hand.
Do I need to be home while the estimate is taking place?
You don’t need to be home during an estimate. It is, however in your favor to be home if you’d like to receive immediate information about your job request.
How soon will I receive my bid after the estimate is completed?
You will normally receive your bid within 1-2 business days after the estimate has been completed.
How are bids sent? By email, mail or in person?
We generally prefer to send bids via email since it’s the timeliest. If you prefer to receive your bid by mail or in-person we can do that too!
What type/brand of shingles do you use?
We prefer to use Owens Corning 40-year dimensional shingles for its higher quality, but we can use other brands if necessary.
What types of roofs do you install or repair?
We install and/or repair many types of roofs including asphalt, cedar shake, slate, spanish tile, as well as Ruberoid or Liberty roofing over low pitch roofs. We also have an associate who services standing seams metal roofs.
How fast can someone come look at my roof?
How fast can you call me? We can usually come out pretty quickly depending on how booked we are when you call.
Can someone come look at my roof the same day I call?
Sometimes yes, that depends on how booked we are at the time you call.
Do you offer emergency repairs related to storms? If so, is there an extra fee?
We can complete emergency repair during daylight hours only IF we have are not already booked to capacity. Please call us with details and we can attempt to accommodate your needs.
Do you use subcontractors or does your company complete all the work itself?
We never use subcontractors to complete our jobs. All work is done by our own highly trained crew.
Do you do inspections for insurance?
We work with homeowners directly to complete almost any service requested of us. We do not deal with insurance companies directly.
Do you offer gutter cleaning services?
Yes, we offer gutter cleaning services as long as the debris inside the gutters isn’t frozen.
Do you clean leaves off roofs?

Does your crew work in the rain, the snow, or during high winds?
To keep our crew as safe as possible, we do not work in rainy, snowy, or extremely windy weather.
Does your crew work in high or low temperatures?
Most of the time our crew works in the heat and in the cold.
Do you offer historical restorations?

Are you fully licensed and insured? Can I request a copy of your credentials?
Yes, we are fully licensed and insured and provide proof upon request!
How long have you been in business?
We are a third generation, family owned and operated roofing company and have been in business since 1955.
Do you have photos of completed jobs?
We have tons for photos on our website, aschroofing.com. You can view photos of various types of roof installations and repairs. If you’re interested in asphalt, slate, cedar shake, Spanish tile, Ruberiod or Liberty roofs, we have examples of them all!! We also have installation and repair photos of siding, skylights, gutters and various other home repairs.
Do you have references to prove you’re a trustworthy roofing company?
We have hundreds of customer testimonials printed and available to review at any time! We also have thousands of past customers organized by town and date to prove we are a locally owned, family business who values customer satisfaction!
Do I have to pay an upfront deposit for your services?
Ninety-five percent of the time we do not require an upfront deposit. The only time we may charge an upfront fee is if your job requires special order materials.
What types of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, check, money order, most credit cards and financing*.
*Financing options are available to qualified borrowers.
Do you offer financing? If so, what types of financing do you offer?
Roofing projects can be a significant investment, especially when unexpected. Many homeowners like the ability to finance their roof work, so we offer convenient financing options to our customers. These include:

How soon do I have to submit payment after my job is completed?
Payment for new roof installations is due within two weeks after job completion, unless agreed upon in advance. Payment for all repairs or any work done less than an entire roof is due within three days after job completion.
Will I receive a receipt for payment?
Yes, we always provide a receipt for any payments made to our company.
Do you offer a repeat customer discount?
